The Lincoln Southeast defensive tackle said Thursday night that he appreciates the effort new NU head coach Scott Frost and assistant coach Barrett Ruud have put into recruiting him since taking over here Dec. 2, but that he is firm in his commitment to Wisconsin.
"I want to thank Coach Frost, Coach Ruud and the whole Nebraska coaching staff for taking time to recruit me and talk to my family and me. I also want to thank all of the Nebraska fans for showing me so much love, you guys are great," he wrote.
Williams was not offered a scholarship by former Husker head coach Mike Riley's staff and he verbally committed to UW in July.
