Madrid -- Monday was a day of sightseeing for the Huskers, as the team visited the historic city of Toledo, which is located about an hour outside of Madrid.
The first stop was Mirador del Valle, which provided a breathtaking view from above the city, including the Alcazar fortress, which overlooks Toledo, and the Gothic Cathedral. The city’s layout has remained the same since the 14th century and is heavily influenced by the Christian, Muslim and Jewish cultures.
For Nick Fuller, one of the highlights of Monday’s trip was to the see the Gothic Cathedral, which broke ground in 1227 and was not completed until 1493.
