Madrid - With its first game in Spain tonight, the Huskers got up early to do a little sightseeing and shopping around the hotel.
"We started at Plaza del Sol and there were a bunch of statues and fountains, as well as street performers who dressed as life-like statues, and that was really cool," said B.J. Day.
The team then visited Mercado de San Miguel, a popular food market in the area which features a number of food and drink option and visited some of the other stores in the area.
Some of the players and staff did some bargain shopping with the street vendors, who were selling jerseys, handbags, sunglasses and other trinkets.
