Minnesota piled on the runs early, and the Nebraska softball team was never able to recover in a 10-1 five-inning loss in front of a sold-out crowd Friday in Minneapolis.
The Gophers scored four runs in the first inning, three in the second and three in the third. Four Nebraska errors also extended innings.
Minnesota continues to have Nebraska's number. The Gophers have won eight of nine in the series, including the past six meetings.
The Huskers (30-15, 8-6 Big Ten) jumped to a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Alyvia Simmons scored from third base on a wild pitch.
