A matter of inches helped Nebraska’s Antoine Lloyd come away with the win in the 60-meter hurdles Saturday at the Mark Colligan Memorial at the Devaney Sports Center.
Lloyd clocked in at 7.85 seconds, just edging out Illinois’ David Kendziera, who was hot on his tail at 7.86 seconds. Amere Lattin of Houston came in a close third at 7.89.
“Everybody was coming off so fast, with competition with David and Amere coming right on my back,” Lloyd said of the tight finish.
“Last year I was hurt all during the indoor season, but I was mostly working on my starts all last year,” Lloyd said.
