Lexi Rodriguez Continues to Make History

Since 1930, the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) has presented the James E. Sullivan, named in honor of the founder of AAU, to the most outstanding collegiate, Olympic or other athlete in the United States. Out of all those tens of thousands of eligible athletes—tens of thousands of them—our own Lexi Rodriguez was voted as the winner.

She was chosen based on her leadership, athletic accomplishment, sportsmanship and moral character. And of course she was; Lexi is the person that skipped happily by John Cook during warm ups in Memorial Stadium to make sure he was soaking it all in.
