The Nebraska track and field team wrapped up competition at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Birmingham, Alabama on Saturday at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
Senior thrower Burger Lambrechts Jr. led the Huskers with a fourth-place finish in the shot put to earn first-team All-America honors, the fourth All-America accolade of his career. Lambrechts Jr. had a season-best throw of 67-0 1/2 (20.43m) on his second attempt, which was good enough to improve his finish at indoor nationals by one spot from his fifth-place finish in 2021.
Darius Luff, a Lincoln High graduate, placed seventh in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 7.
