FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Four Nebraska track and field student-athletes took center stage at the NCAA Track & Field Indoor Championships at the Randal Tyson Track Center on Friday.
Burger Lambrechts Jr. highlighted the day for the Huskers with a fifth-place finish in the shot put. Lambrechts Jr., the Big Ten indoor champion, threw 65-0 3/4 (19.83m) on his first of six attempts to earn first-team All-America honors, his third career All-America accolade.
Kevin Shubert took 16th place in the men's shot put with a throw of 59-8 1/2 (18.20m) on his third attempt.
