Freshman guard Taylor Kissinger wants to be a scorer, and that’s a good thing as the Huskers try to improve on a 7-22 season last year.
Kissinger scored 22 points to lead the Huskers to an 88-55 win in an exhibition game against Minnesota State-Mankato on Sunday at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Kissinger put up 15 shots in the 22 minutes she played. She shot 12 three-pointers, and made four. She was also 4-for-4 on free-throws.
The top-40 national recruit from Minden also attempted 11 threes, and made three, when the Huskers had a scrimmage with Iowa State.
