Nebraska senior wide receiver Bryan Reimers made it through the rocky waters of last season.
His fortunes are turning, it seems, after the Huskers skidded to a 4-8 record. He appeared in 10 games and started twice, but wasn't on scholarship.
Of course, that changed Friday. The 6-foot-5, 220-pound Lincoln East graduate was one of three Husker walk-ons to earn a scholarship, joined by junior running back Wyatt Mazour and junior inside linebacker Jacob Weinmaster.
Of the three, only Reimers was part of the position-by-position two-deep chart released Sunday morning. He's listed as the top backup to senior standout Stanley Morgan.
