As Nebraska’s coaching staff spends most of its time this month on the road evaluating players, one key target is coming to Lincoln this weekend to evaluate campus.
That’s outside linebacker Jermaine Johnson of Independence (Kansas) Community College, who will be arriving for an unofficial visit Friday afternoon. Johnson is ranked a four-star prospect by 247Sports and the No. 4 overall junior college prospect in the country for the 2019 class.
Listed at 6-foot-6 and 245 pounds, Johnson has put on a significant amount of weight since his days as a relatively lightly recruited prospect at Eden Prairie High in Minnesota.
