Jones, a self-described 'SEC corner', ready to face talented Vols WRs

“I feel like I’m an SEC corner,” Huskers cornerback Chris Jones said Tuesday. “I feel like I can play anywhere, so for me to have a game against those types of talented teams and that conference, I’m just going to show that I can play.”

Jones was answering a question about the opportunity to play against Tennessee and line up against Volunteers’ talented group of receivers Dec. 30 in the Music City Bowl.

The 6-foot, 185-pound junior came to NU from SEC country — Sandalwood High School in Jacksonville, Florida — and this season emerged as one of the biggest names in a talented Nebraska secondary.
