After a breakout junior season, James Palmer Jr. tested the waters of the NBA draft the last couple of months. Since he didn’t sign with an agent, he left open the door to return to Nebraska if things didn’t look promising for the NBA.
Friday evening, Palmer walked back through that door and rejoined the Huskers.
Not a huge surprise, as head coach Tim Miles had an inkling that Palmer and forward Issac Copeland would return, but now Palmer’s return is official. Copeland has until Wednesday to withdraw from the draft to be able to return to Nebraska.
