Freshman forward Michael Jacobson made his second consecutive start Sunday for the Nebraska men’s basketball team.
The manner in which Jacobson finished in the Huskers’ 70-67 come-from-behind victory against Rhode Island, though, secured him a third start, and likely many more.
“Michael played terrific,” Nebraska coach Tim Miles said. “He’s keeping his starting spot.”
The 6-foot-8, 225-pound Jacobson equaled his career high with 11 points and contributed with key plays in the second half, many coming after he entered with 6:50 remaining and played the rest of the game.
“I was less nervous,” said Jacobson, who’d made his first career start Wednesday at Creighton.
