It has been twenty years.
Twenty years since Nebraska last had a player taken in the NBA Draft. We have to go back to 1999 when Venson Hamilton was taken by the Houston Rockets as the 50th pick.
Tonight, that drought ends.
Forward Isaiah Roby has been selected by the Dallas Mavericks as the 45th pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. The junior from Illinois has broken the streak.
Roby played all three years at Nebraska. His third and final season he averaged 11.8 points and 6.9 rebounds while shooting just over 45% from the field.
