On a cool night in Iowa City, with barely any wind blowing at the ballpark, it was a perfect night for an old fashioned Friday night pitchers dual between a couple of aces. Iowa sent out Cade Obermueller, the man who would most likely be the Big Ten Pitcher of the Year if the voting happened right now. Nebraska countered against the top hitting team with Will Walsh, the senior lefty whose ability to hit his spots and change speeds keeps teams used to seeing guys that can throw 95, completely off balance.
Obermueller was as advertised. He has his big wipeout slider biting early.
