Insingo wins shot put title as Huskers compete in three track meets

In San Marcos, Texas, Kristina Insingo won the shot put title at Texas State's Bobcat Invitational with a throw of 50 feet, ¾ inch on her final attempt.

Elsewhere in Texas, Mayson Conner led the Nebraska men at the Texas Relays in Austin with fourth place in the high jump, with a top effort of 7-2¼, his outdoor personal record. The Huskers' Luke Siedhoff placed sixth in the 110-meter hurdles with a wind-aided time of 13.74 seconds. Alex Meyer threw 177-8 in the discus for fourth place. Burger Lambrechts took 10th in the shot put at 59-10½.

For the Husker women at the Texas Relays, Shelby Brown finished seventh in section B discus with a season-best 162-2.
