Indiana presents more challenges for Husker defense

Nebraska basketball fans may want to shield their eyes at the following statistics, given what happened earlier this week at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Indiana is averaging 13 offensive rebounds a game, twice has collected 20 or more in a game this season and leads the Big Ten Conference in offensive rebounding percentage at 41.6 percent.

Oh, and the Hoosiers have a true freshman big man who’s much more heralded than Northwestern’s Dererk Pardon. They also average more points per game than the Wildcats, who defeated Nebraska 81-72 on Wednesday.

If there’s any good news, it’s that Nebraska (8-6, 0-1 Big Ten) had two good practices, according to coach Tim Miles, to right their wrongs leading into Saturday’s home game with Indiana (11-3, 1-0).
