Nebraska basketball fans may want to shield their eyes at the following statistics, given what happened earlier this week at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Indiana is averaging 13 offensive rebounds a game, twice has collected 20 or more in a game this season and leads the Big Ten Conference in offensive rebounding percentage at 41.6 percent.
Oh, and the Hoosiers have a true freshman big man who’s much more heralded than Northwestern’s Dererk Pardon. They also average more points per game than the Wildcats, who defeated Nebraska 81-72 on Wednesday.
If there’s any good news, it’s that Nebraska (8-6, 0-1 Big Ten) had two good practices, according to coach Tim Miles, to right their wrongs leading into Saturday’s home game with Indiana (11-3, 1-0).
