Huskers Win 8-2, Sweep Season Series Against Mavericks

Behind a stellar pitching outing from Max Knutson and back to back home runs from Ben Miller and Scott Schreiber, the Huskers swept the season series against the Nebraska Omaha Mavericks by a final score of 6-2.

Nebraska would fall behind early. After a walk, Ryan Boldt would lose a ball in the sun in center field, allowing the first two to reach. A sacrifice bunt and a sacrifice fly would put the Mavericks up 1-0 early on. It would stay that way until the fourth inning.

The Huskers would send all nine runners to the plate in the fourth inning.
