Lincoln - Tommy Armstrong Jr. became Nebraska's career leader in pass completions to lead the No. 8 Huskers to a 27-14 win over Purdue on Saturday at Memorial Stadium.
With the victory, Nebraska improved to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the Big Ten, while Purdue slipped to 3-4 overall and 1-3 in the conference. The Cornhuskers earned their eighth consecutive win overall dating back to last season, while extending their NCAA-record sellout streak at Memorial Stadium to 352 games.
Armstrong, Nebraska's senior quarterback from Cibolo, Texas, completed 17-of-31 passes for 252 yards and one touchdown, while adding 51 rushing yards and Nebraska's first touchdown on 10 carries to finish with 303 total offense yards against the Boilermakers.
