The news hit via ESPN’s Pete Thamel about a half hour ago - the future home and home series between the Huskers and Tennessee has been cancelled.
Sources: Tennessee and Nebraska are canceling their upcoming football series, which was schedule for 2026 in Lincoln and 2027 in Knoxville. A driver of the move was Nebraska wanting eight home games in 2027 when they expected reduced stadium capacity because of renovations.

This was quickly confirmed by the Nebraska Athletic Department’s Keith Mann. His release also confirmed the filling of Tennessee’s spot on those schedules as well as the last remaining non-conference spot in the 2027 schedule.
