Lincoln, Neb. – Delaware State used a 21-0 second-half run to erase a 25-point deficit, but the Huskers answered with a 12-0 run of their own to give Nebraska its first win of the season, 75-60, at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
The Huskers led 46-32 after one half, but let the Hornets back chip away at their lead when they went on a 21-0 run midway through the second half, pulling within four at 63-59. The Huskers were able to answer with a 12-0 run themselves to put the Hornets away 75-60.
Shavon Shields led the way for the Huskers with 21 points, while Andrew White III added 20 points.
