The day almost started with a jump for the Nebraska Cornhuskers as Jordy Bahl cracked a deep shot to left…but then it curled just foul. The at-bat instead resulted a towering high fly, this time in play to left, which may have been a 1⁄4 inch of aluminum from a home run, but still resulted in an out and the Huskers failed to score in the first.
The Washington Huskies did not.
Kylee Magee went once again for the Huskers, and, once again, the results were not good, this time worse than usual as her control issues flared up for the second straight start.
