As the Huskers trudged past us from the dugout to the parking lot, they either barely or not at all tried to hide their frustration at not being able to eke out a single run to tie the game in the bottom of the 7th after putting runners on the corners with no one out.
After Jordy Bahl ripped a scorcher to left to lead off the inning, Sammie Bland laid down a bunt to the right side. Jordy was easily in at second, but then the Cowgirls muffed the throw allowing Jordy to scamper to third. Bland took off for second where she had been thrown out earlier trying to take advantage of a bad throw, but this time decided correctly not to push the issue and darted back to first.
