The only time it ever really felt in doubt came in the bottom of the 5th inning as the bags were full of Bears with no one out and the Huskers 2-0 lead suddenly in jeopardy. It was courtesy of a Laura Camenzind error, a Jordy Bahl walk, then Jordy fielding a bunt and double pumping a throw to third which arrived a hair late.
Then she got serious.
A late swing on a 2-2 pitch. Another whiff on 1-2. Then a final swing and a miss on a 2-2 wave which had Jordy fist-pumping and the Huskers emptying their dugout.
