HUSKERS SOFTBALL - Expect Shootouts, Not Shutouts: Previewing Indiana

In another odd Saturday-Monday series, the Huskers started the work week in a familiar position - they had won the first two games of a three-game series in convincing fashion making their record 8-0 in such situations.

The third games had played a little differently going 1-2 with third day losses to outmatched Purdue and Iowa the past two weeks. It was a combination of Huskers bats going silent and the pitching unable to hang in low-scoring duels. Against the Boilermakers, with Jordy Bahl given the day off after throwing three times in four games, Kylee Magee and Hannah Camenzind got rapped around in a 6-2 loss, and against Iowa, Bahl had an uncharacteristic meltdown giving up 3 hits and hitting 3 straight batters in the 3rd in a 5-2 defeat.
