The Nebraska rifle team has been recognized for its continued success in the classroom, winning a national accolade announced on Tuesday.
The rifle program earned national recognition from the NCAA for its standing in the organization's Academic Progress Rate (APR). The Huskers were honored for ranking in the top 10 percent in the APR among all tennis programs nationally. The APR provides a real-time look at a team's academic success each semester by tracking the academic progress of each student-athlete on scholarship. The APR accounts for eligibility, retention and graduation and provides a measure of each team's academic performance.
