A straight sets win by Lauren Strivins and Kelly Hunter at No. 3 evened the match and set the dramatics for the No. 5 battle.
The final match, and the overall dual, came down to the final two points, as Sydney Townsend and Brooke Smith outlasted Frances Giedraitis and Kwyn Johnson, 11-21, 22-20, 16-14.
Townsend and Smith trailed 13-12 in the third set but tallied four of the final five points to clinch the match and the win for NU.
