The Nebraska men's basketball team, even in losing Friday to No. 14 UCLA, had built some positive early-season momentum with its performances at the Wooden Legacy in California.
That momentum wasn't completely lost Sunday, but it surely took a hit as the Huskers shot 29 percent from the field and got outscored 43-27 in the second half as Virginia Tech pulled away for a 66-53 win in the tournament's third-place game at Anaheim.
