Entering Tuesday night's game at Cal State Bakersfield, the Huskers were 152-9 under coach Darin Erstad when leading after seven innings.
The Huskers held a two-run lead after seven against Bakersfield, but the Roadrunners rallied with four runs in the eighth to win 8-6 and snap the Huskers' four-game winning streak.
"I'm actually really proud of our guys," Erstad said on his postgame radio show. "Tough place to come in and play, we faced some adversity, fought back. We haven't done that too often. Played good defense, made some nice plays."
Now the Huskers will need to shake off the loss quickly.
