Tai Webster scored 17 of his career-high 23 in the first half, Jack McVeigh scored 16 of his career-high 21 in the second half, and the Nebraska men's basketball team downed Louisiana Tech 65-54 Saturday at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
The Huskers (3-0) used a 9-0 run in the first half to erase their first deficit of the season, and led for the game's final 27 minutes.
Nebraska could never really put the Bulldogs away, though. It was a six-point game with 57 seconds left before NU made four of five free throws to seal the win.
