Lincoln, Neb. – The Nebraska soccer team (3-6-2, 2-2-0 Big Ten) finished its weekend homestand with a 1-0 shutout victory over Illinois, the No. 10 team in the RPI, at Hibner Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Huskers, who picked up their first home win of the season, and the Fighting Illini played to a scoreless first half. Senior put the Huskers on the scoreboard in the 59th minute when a crossing pass from found Ochoa, who fired her shot into the back of the net. It marked Ochoa's first goal of the season and fourth score of her career.
