Lincoln, Neb. - The Nebraska football team practiced for approximately two hours Saturday in the Hawks Championship Center and the Ed and Joyanne Gass Practice Field in helmets and shorts, marking the first practice of spring football for the Huskers.
Head Coach Mike Riley spoke to the media following practice and addressed the state of the team as they head into the beginning of spring ball.
"It is really exciting to get started. We have been going at it with the offseason program since sometime in January, but it really feels like also right now the start of the 2017 team.
