The Nebraska Swimming and Diving team gave its fans something to cheer about in the home-opener at the Devaney Center Natatorium, taking down Iowa State and improving to 3-0 on the year.
The meet featured the momentum between both teams swinging back and forth, but eventually the Huskers found themselves on top of the Cyclones 151-149.
In Saturday's victory, the Husker's took victories in both of the freestyle distance races, thanks to the strong swimming of Audrey Coffey. Coffey first won the 1000 free (10:14.95), marking herself with a collegiate career best in that category, and then won the 500 free (5:03.
