The Nebraska women's golf team will make the short drive to Manhattan, Kansas to compete in the Marilynn Smith/Sunflower Invitational, Sept. 20-21.
The Huskers will be part of a nine-team contingent at Kansas State that includes both the Wildcats and their Big 12 counterparts from Kansas. Arkansas State, Incarnate Word, Sam Houston, Toledo, Tulane and Wichita State round out the tournament field.
Coach Lisa Johnson plans to take nine golfers to compete in two lineups at Kansas State. Kirsten Baete, who led Nebraska at the Wolverine Invitational, will lead NU's "A" lineup alongside Megan Whittaker, Michaela Vavrova, Vanessa Bouvet and freshman Lena Hassert.
