Huskers head into Big Ten play with renewed optimism

The pessimist would be quick to point out that Nebraska just lost to Gardner-Webb, barely beat Southern and has about the same odds of beating Indiana on Wednesday as a Christmas cookie does surviving a weekend with the kids home.

Tim Miles has never really been one for pessimism.

Nebraska enters league play at 6-6. The Huskers probably need at least 12 more wins to be in the discussion for an NCAA Tournament berth. Several Big Ten teams are off to excellent starts.
