The coaching staff for the Nebraska women’s basketball team followed along on Sunday as they were able to when Minnesota senior guard Rachel Banham amazed college women’s basketball by scoring 60 points in a double-overtime win against Northwestern.
The Huskers were flying home after their game at Indiana. Nebraska coach Connie Yori found it interesting that two of the Northwestern players scored 31 and 28 points in that game, and those looked like bad games compared to Banham’s 60.
“That’s unbelievable. I’ve never seen that before,” said Yori. “For her to score that much against a Big Ten opponent, that’s unbelievable.
