Behind the aid of two Huskers' first career goals, the Nebraska soccer team (3-0-0) handed Baylor its second loss of the season with the 2-1 defeat at Betty Lou Mays Soccer Field on Thursday evening.
Nebraska struck early as freshman Sarah Weber netted her first career goal in the eighth minute. Recording her third assist in three games, Abbey Schwarz delivered a pass across the field to Weber who shot the ball past the Baylor goalie into the bottom left corner of the net.
A hot and humid game plagued with injuries on both sides, Weber went down shortly after her goal with a right ankle injury and would not return to play.
