In its first Big Ten meet of the season, the Nebraska women's gymnastics team took down Rutgers in New Brunswick, New Jersey, on Saturday afternoon.
The No. 15 Huskers (2-1, 1-0) defeated the Scarlet Knights (1-6, 0-1) 194.850-194.325 at the Livingston Recreation Center behind a strong performance from junior Taylor Houchin. Houchin continued her dominant start to 2019 by taking home three event titles on vault (9.80), on uneven bars (9.90) and in the all-around, posting a 39.450.
Senior Megan Schweihofer posted a season-high score of 9.90 on the balance beam and would go on to win the balance beam event title, the fifth of her career.
