As it turns out, the weekend wasn't a total loss for the Huskers.
Gained were two recruits, who announced their commitments to Nebraska on Saturday while concluding their weekend visits.
Safety Brandon Drayton is from Largo, Florida, where they don't play football games in 20-degree weather. But the cold he experienced on Friday didn't deter the three-star prospect from saying yes to Nebraska.
The other commit came from kicker/punter Caleb Lightbourn, who has been courted by Husker special teams coordinator Bruce Read for a while and figures to be the future leg that comes after Sam Foltz and Drew Brown.
