Bar talk is bar talk and the other night someone asked me if I’d heard Deion Sanders wanted to do some spring practices with the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Huh?
My answer was I hadn’t heard that, but it wouldn’t surprise me as something which might cross Prime Time’s mind, at least in some form. Knowing nothing about any actual rules in place along those lines, I said I didn’t think it would happen for two reasons:
1) I would bet it wasn’t allowed, and-
2) I’d question whether Colorado and Nebraska would be the schools to float such a trial balloon given their salty relationship which definitely appeared as hot as ever as the schools traded wins in ‘23/’24 home-and-home series which didn’t lack chatter from either squad.
