Huskers Focused on Nashville

Lincoln, Neb. - The Nebraska football team practiced for 90 minutes Thursday afternoon. The defense practiced in the Hawks Championship Center, while the offense practiced in the Cook Pavilion, after the Huskers began practice with special teams work outdoors. Redshirts and younger players practiced an extra half hour in the Hawks Championship Center following the main practice.

Head Coach Mike Riley addressed the media afterwards.

"Jordan Westerkamp hurt his knee in practice, has a surgery scheduled as we speak, and will not play in the game," Riley said of Jordan Westerkamp's injury.
