MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota -- The Nebraska men's tennis team (1-14, 1-14 Big Ten) dropped its matchup against the No. 49 Minnesota Gophers (9-6, 9-6 Big Ten) 5-2, outdoors Friday afternoon in Minneapolis at the Baseline Tennis Center.
Highlighting the day's play was a doubles match sweep by Nic Wiedenhorn and Shunya Maruyama and two singles wins by Victor Moreno Lozano and Albert Sprlak-Puk.
The Huskers started off strong in doubles competition, with the No. 2 pair of Wiedenhorn and Maruyama sweeping Minnesota's Vlad Lobak and Bodin Zarkovic, 6-0.
