Lincoln – Despite a combined 39 points from Benny Parker and Andrew White III the Nebraska men’s basketball team dropped its Big Ten opener against Northwestern. The Wildcats defeated the Huskers, 81-72, Wednesday afternoon at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Parker led the way for Nebraska in the first-half totaling 12 points on 4-6 shooting from three-point range. The Huskers played well as a team in the first-half dishing out 12 assists and only turning it over once. White III led Nebraska with 13 points in the first-half hitting a jumper at the buzzer to give Nebraska a 38-35 lead heading into the locker room.
