Sophomore guard Christen Cunningham scored 20 points, and Samford used a 15-2 run to open the second half in defeating the Nebraska men's basketball team 69-58 on Sunday night at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Senior guard Darius Jones-Gibson scored 15 points and freshman center Wyatt Walker added 14 for the Bulldogs, who were playing on the road for the eighth time in nine games.
Samford (8-4) trailed by four at halftime but led by as many as 13 points with 13:01 remaining after shooting 8-of-9 from the field while forcing four Nebraska turnovers.
Senior guard Shavon Shields scored 25 points and junior guard Andrew White had 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead Nebraska (7-5).
