Huskers Fall to Purdue on Senior Night

Lincoln – Despite a 32-point effort from Shavon Shields on Senior Night, Nebraska fell to Purdue, 81-62, on Tuesday night at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Nebraska fell behind early to Purdue giving up 13 straight points giving the Boilermakers a 30-9 lead at the 8:19 point in the first-half. The Huskers battled back behind a 19-point first-half effort by Shavon Shields and trailed Purdue by only eight heading into the locker room.

Purdue proved to be too much for Nebraska in the second-half pulling away for an 81-62 victory. Nebraska was led by Shields who poured in 32 points while shooting 11-19 from the field.
