IOWA CITY, Iowa — Even a strong start by the Nebraska men’s basketball team in its first Big Ten Conference road game of the season wasn’t enough to offset a brutal cold spell that was yet to come.
The Huskers punched first with a 10-0 run to start the game, but No. 19 Iowa jabbed back, holding Nebraska scoreless over the final 7:35 of the first half of its 77-66 victory Tuesday night at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Nebraska (8-8, 0-3 Big Ten Conference) lost its 11th straight regular-season Big Ten game, dating to last season, when it went winless in league road games.
