Huskers Fall to Indiana, Rubber Match Set for Sunday

Lincoln, Neb. – The Nebraska baseball team (23-25, 7-11 Big Ten) fell to Indiana by a 6-3 decision at Hawks Field on Saturday afternoon.

The Huskers struck first with one run in the opening frame. Mojo Hagge hit a leadoff single and, in the following at-bat, advanced to third when Indiana committed an error on a fielder’s choice. Jesse Wilkening was hit-by-pitch to load the bases with no outs. Luke Roskam’s sacrifice fly drove in Hagge to give NU a 1-0 lead. A double play ended NU’s chance for additional runs.

Indiana’s Drew Ashley hit a solo home run in the top of the second to tie the game at 1-1.
