MADISON, Wisc. – Vitto Brown scored a career-high 18 points and was 3-for-3 on three-pointers, and hot-shooting Wisconsin defeated the Nebraska men’s basketball team 72-61 on Wednesday night at Kohl Center.
Brown entered the game a 28.2 percent three-point shooter for the season, and was 3-of-12 in Big Ten games.
That was one reason Nebraska paid less attention to the 6-foot-8 junior forward, who at one time considered the Huskers in the recruiting process before choosing Wisconsin.
But he wasn’t the only Badger to get hot against Nebraska’s 2-3 zone defense.
Wisconsin made its first four three-point attempts of the second half to build a double-digit lead, and was 8-of-10 on threes when it led 42-32.
