TJ Dudley continues to move closer to a spot in the national wrestling finals.
The Nebraska junior defeated second-seeded Sammy Brooks of Iowa at the NCAA Championships on Friday in New York to advance to the 184-pound semifinals.
Dudley, the seventh seed, will wrestle 14th-seeded Willie Miklus of Missouri on Friday night.
Dudley defeated Brooks 9-6 to advance. Just two weeks earlier, Brooks edged the Husker in the Big Ten tournament finals.
Miklus and Dudley have met before. The Missouri wrestler defeated Dudley 5-4 in a regular-season finale at the Devaney Sports Center.
Four other Huskers dropped quarterfinal matches Friday, but are still in contention for All-American honors.
